DR. M M JALAL UDDIN

Dr. M M Jalal Uddin has completed his graduation (MBBS) from Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh under Dhaka University in 1998 and post-graduation FCPS in Psychiatry from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2012. He also obtained FRCP (Glasgow-UK) from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. in 2020. Currently he is working as Associate Professor of Psychiatry in National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr Uddin worked as Resident Medical Officer, Mirpur Holy Crescent Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh (1999 to 2001), Assistant Registrar of Psychiatry (2001 to 2013) and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (2013) in National Institute of Mental Health, Dhaka, Bangladesh and worked as National Consultant, Mental Health, WHO, Bangladesh from 1 April 2019 to 30 September 2019. He is a master trainer of mhGAP (Mental Health Gap Action Program) training. Dr Jalal was involved in national mental health survey and he was co-investigator of lots mental health research projects both in-home and abroad. He is a life member of Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrist, Bangladesh Medical Association, Dhaka University Registered Graduates, Bangladesh Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, American Psychiatric Association, South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine, International Society for Sexual Medicine, and International Association for Suicide Prevention. He has thirty-seven publications in different national and international journals as principal author and co-author. He attended and presented scientific papers in national and international conferences held in Bangladesh, India, Srilanka, Norway, Italy Germany, UK, Australia and USA.
